Legal Usage Policy
AirDroid Cast is licensed software intended for lawful screen sharing, presentations, education, remote support with consent, and personal media casting. Users must comply with all applicable local, national, and organizational laws regarding privacy, data protection, and electronic communications.
- Obtain explicit permission before mirroring or controlling any device you do not own
- Do not use casting to intercept credentials, banking sessions, or private messages without authorization
- Employers and schools must disclose monitoring policies where required by law
- Recording cast sessions may require additional consent depending on jurisdiction
Ethical Usage Statement
We promote ethical use of screen mirroring technology. AirDroid Cast should strengthen collaboration, learning, and legitimate technical support, not covert surveillance or harassment.
If you are assisting family members with troubleshooting, explain what you will access, how long the session lasts, and disconnect when finished. In classrooms, inform students when their devices are displayed to the class.
Software Transparency
AirDroid Cast is commercial software distributed through controlled release channels. While it is not open source, we document how sessions work so administrators can evaluate risk.
Transmission model
- Peer-to-peer direct connection is attempted first
- Relay servers are used only when P2P cannot traverse the network
- End-to-end AES encryption protects session content in transit
- No storage of transmitted screen data or cast content on servers
No Malware Clarification
Official AirDroid Cast installers are not designed to install adware, spyware, cryptocurrency miners, or ransomware. Independent security scans of version 3.8.0.4 distributions have reported clean results with no virus, spyware, or malware detected when obtained from the genuine publisher.
Risk increases when users download repackaged copies from unofficial mirrors. Always verify SHA-256 checksums and code signatures listed on the Download page.
